Tis the Season for Collaborations

Hi again friends,

Earlier this week, I told you about a recent collaboration Tretorn did with The Tannery. Well I have one more exciting partnership to share with you- we teamed up with the highly regarded and unique Ace Hotel!

We worked with Ace Hotel to create an original version of out popular Strala boot. You can check it out on their website here: http://shop.acehotel.com/product/tretorn-strala-vinter/

Ace Hotel made sure no one confused this boot with any other Tretorns by splashing the outsoles with their signature tomato-red color. There are lots of other unique features- the left heel is branded "Tretorn" and the right "ACE HOTEL". And these boots even come with a message- "LET'S STAND TOGETHER" is printed on the insole.

The best part of these boots? They are very, very limited edition. Only 300 pairs are available- so get to the nearest Ace Hotel and grab them before they're gone!

Happy holidays!

TANNERY+TRETORN=TRUE LOVE

Hi Friends,

I wanted to share with you something exciting that Tretorn has been working on with Boston-based retailer (and long-time Tretorn friend) The Tannery.

We have worked together to create a special edition of our Arsta boot for their brand new Wilderness Workshop in Boston’s Back Bay. You can ooo and ahhh at it on their online store here: http://www.thetannery.com/ProductDetails.aspx?g=2&bid=284&mode=brand&pid=23417&sid=48603

The beauty of this boot is in the details: It has shield-shaped side panels, pine-cone patterned toe-caps and heels, and a removable buffalo-plaid foot bed. It also has warm micro-fleece lining- perfect for the outdoorsman in the winter time.

The Tretorn Arsta for the Wilderness Workshop comes in black and olive.
According to the Tannery, The Wilderness Workshop has “the look and feel of a large loft space with exposed brick and original wood beams, yet it is underground. Many of the fixtures are from local reclaimed wood to keep a natural balance between modern retail design and our New England heritage.” We’re very glad to be a part of the Tannery’s exciting new venture.

Now wouldn’t these make the perfect last minute Christmas gift? Especially for your best bear-friend? (Hint hint, Karl).

The Wilderness Workshop is located on the basement floor of TheTannery, 711 Boylston St. Boston.

Thanks for making me look good

Hello again,

Thank you to everyone who attended the shop or voted on Facebook for our photo contest last weekend. And thanks to our friends at Thrillist for making it all possible. I made so many new friends, and frankly, I have never looked better. See for yourself here: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=466460755641&set=a.460220190641.242654.36700190641#!/album.php?aid=242654&id=36700190641&page=3

Congratulations to my dear friends Carlo Mirasol and Jenny Jiang who won the contest with 218 votes! Don’t we look adorable?

I will be joining Carlo and Jenny for a lovely weekend of skiing and spa-ing in the Catskills. I’ve been looking forward to this for a while and can’t wait to test out my new skis… wait, what’s that? I’m NOT going to the Catskills? Well I just assumed since I was also in the photo. No?

Well that puts a damper on things. But anyways I still had a great time, and would like to share with you a few highlights from the photo shoot:

My friend Lee and his dog friend, Sadie. Sadie thought she could scare me. Silly dog.

My favorite moment of the day. Kate, if you're out there- please return my calls. I’d like to have you over to my cottage to watch a Pretty Woman DVD and to cook you some Swedish meatballs.

What a great day. I so rarely get to show off my bear claws.

Happy Monday everyone!

Camera Shy

Hi friends,

Let me tell you a little bit about me.  I was born in Helsingborg and have lived here my 'whole' life.  I like to spend as much time as possible outdoors, watch National Geographic and have a secret love for Ingrid Bergman. Maybe not so secret anymore.

I'm actually quite shy and have recently come into the spotlight.  It's all very new to me.

Oskar and I were picking mushrooms one day when we stumbled upon a couple of guys scouting a location for Tretorn's new photo shoot.  Oskar was thrilled to be in it (as he loves the camera), but I was admittedly a bit hesitant.  And although I'm proud of my well-groomed physique, I'm still trying out this whole 'star' thing.

Check in to hear more from us and in the meantime, here's another look at Oskar teasing the camera.

Kiss the Bear

Hello all,

I'm on the second day now of watching this video, and I have had a big laugh.

Karl decided to catch the action on film. I'm quite photogenic =)

And then this happened.

Hi Tretorn Friends,

Funny thing happened today.  Karl and I were hard work at our 'day jobs' in the city, we received a phone call from a friend to watch this crazy video.  We were immediately shocked and then loved what we saw.  Kiss the bear, hug the bear, joke with the bear.  And OK, maybe I played it too many times.  Others in the office were not appreciative.  (Laugh a little.)
